Benefit Your Whole Body with Strength Training

Strength training builds strong muscles! Build your total body strength so everyday activities of living become easier, whether that’s climbing the stairs, carrying groceries, or playing sports. With regular strength training, you not only gain muscle; you lose fat! The beauty of resistance training is that it boosts fat burning when you’re not exercising by increasing your resting metabolism. Strong muscles help support your joints and can prevent arthritis as well as ease joint pain. Your bones might seem inanimate but they are constantly changing. Cells called osteoclasts gobble up old bone tissue, while other cells called osteoblasts lay down new bone. Resistance exercise stresses your bones, which stimulates osteoblasts to come in and provide reinforcement with new tissue. Research tells us that self-esteem soars among those who commit to regular resistance workouts. Regular resistance training improves your health, your weight, your mood, and it gives you more energy.

The Modern Wig

The word “wig” carries a bad rap. Times are changing and we have more appropriate words to describe these hair pieces. The future of hair can be referred to as Fashion Hair, Faux-Hair, or Hair Extensions. Hair pieces today are not like those wigs 40 years ago – there are so many more colors and styles to choose from. The hair itself is more move-able and of finer-quality. They can be shaped into different styles and customized with styling products and tools. They’re cool, comfortable and undetectable. For human hair wigs, I recommend 100% remy hair, which is of the finest-quality. I am challenging every woman to own as least one wig, and in doing that, we won’t have to wait until we lose hair, for whatever reason, to own a wig. This might also be a gesture of support for all the women who have no choice in this matter. Hair Today – Hair Tomorrow – Hair Always. How Much Does it Cost?

Each individual’s financial situation is unique. There are a few factors that determine how much you will need to pay in order to complete a summary administration bankruptcy or a consumer proposal filing. Payments under a consumer bankruptcy proceeding are typically set by governing bankruptcy legislation and will include surplus income obligations and/or repayment of non-exempt assets owned by the debtor. In a consumer proposal filing, payments are determined by the terms of the proposal. In both proceedings the fees that the Trustee can take for administering the file are prescribed by tariff in the Bankruptcy and Insolvency Act. The amount and timing of any payments can be discussed more fully during your free initial consultation with a Trustee in Bankruptcy when all your options are being explored.

Acupuncture for My Pet?

The goal of acupuncture is to promote the body to heal itself. From a Traditional Chinese Veterinary Medicine (TCVM) perspective, veterinary acupuncture encourages healing by correcting energy imbalances in the body. Acupuncture enhances blood circulation, oxygenation, nervous system stimulation, and the release of anti-inflammatory and pain relieving hormones. Acupuncture also aids in the removal of metabolic wastes and toxins. Unlike prescription and over-the-counter pain medications, veterinary acupuncture lacks potential adverse side effects for your pet’s internal organs. Your pet’s medications or supplements will not adversely interact with veterinary acupuncture treatment; therefore it can safely be used in conjunction with traditional health care.

5 Questions About Your Finances

Money plays a huge role in your life. Being able to answer questions about your finances helps plan for the future and present. Start with these questions:

1. How much do I actually make and owe each month? Knowing when you get paid and how much you owe during the month can help avoid a month-end cash crunch.
2. If I need $500.00 for an emergency, can I get it? Prepare by having money set aside – just in case.
3. What happens if I die? Questions about your finances and wishes are best answered during your life; a will can help clarify things.
4. If I lose my job, what then? Make a plan, include an emergency savings account and updated resume.
5. What rates do I pay and earn? Aim to pay low interest rates and earn high on savings/investment.

Winter Safety for Dogs

Although our dogs have fur coats on, that doesn’t mean that they don’t get cold just like we do! If you have a short coated dog, make sure to get them a sweater or jacket to wear on walks. All dogs need to have their paws taken care of when outside in the winter. Either boots, or their feet need to be wiped off when they come inside. All that salt on the pavement is extremely bad for not only the health of their feet, but it can also be poisonous when consumed. If you have noticed that your dog’s feet are getting dry on the bottoms, try using paw wax! This can be used before you head out, and when you get home as a moisturizer. Too cold for you and your pet outside? Why don’t you try an indoor day camp!

L-Carnitine & Chromium

L-Carnitine with Chromium is a blend of two nutrients that play important roles in the metabolism of fat. L-Carnitine is required for the breakdown of fats into energy, while chromium supports healthy glucose metabolism. Its main function is to help insulin carry sugar into muscle cells where it is stored as energy. A lack of chromium could cause fluctuating blood-sugar levels which trigger sugar cravings. As a carbohydrate dependent society, increasing the amount of L-Carnitine & Chromium in our diet in our formula’s proportions will assist the body’s ability to manage its carbohydrate cravings and, in turn, assist with a successful weight management protocol.
