Know your Rights at Work

“WorkSafe Saskatchewan reminds every worker of their three fundamental rights in the workplace: The right to know what hazards are present, the right to participate in keeping the workplace healthy and safe and the right to refuse dangerous work. These rights are protected under The Saskatchewan Employment Act. When workers speak up and employers listen, everyone benefits. Safety is a shared responsibility—and it starts with knowing your rights. Together, we can make Saskatchewan workplaces safer.”

Indoor Air Pollution

Indoor air pollution in homes can lead to respiratory problems and other health issues. It can occur from many sources such as volatile organic compounds (VOC’s), mold, cleaning products, and pet dander. To mitigate indoor air pollution, prioritize ventilation with open windows and air purifiers, control humidity, use low-VOC products, clean and vacuum regularly, install carbon monoxide detectors, maintain and clean your furnace and replace the filter regularly. According to the EPA, the concentration levels of many volatile organic compounds are up to 10 times higher indoors than outdoors so it is very important to maintain ventilation flow in your home.

Creating a Brighter Future for Animals in Need

Become a Kennel Sponsor at the Prince Albert SPCA Jan 1st – Jan 31st! By sponsoring a kennel or dog run, you are directly helping provide essential supplies to the animals who reside within that space. Your contribution ensures they have everything they need—from cleaning supplies, special medical food, litter, formula, and new bowls when necessary. With over 1600 animals passing through our doors every year, the ongoing expenses add up quickly. Kennel sponsorships help cover these costs, allowing us to focus on providing the care they deserve.
