Reiki offers deep relaxation and helps the body release stress and tension. A reiki treatment gives you time to yourself where you are ‘being’ instead of ‘doing’. Clients report feeling more clear, peaceful, relaxed, and lighter in themselves. Reiki provides a space where you can be more aware of what is going on inside your body and mind. You can learn to listen to your own body and make wise decisions about your wellbeing. Being more present in your body helps you to access the inner knowing and wisdom that we all have!
Communication Rule
Many misunderstandings and conflicts arise because of poor communication. Here is something to remember. Communication is made up of 7% spoken words; 38% of voice and tone; and 55% body language. This is SO important to keep in mind when you are talking to anyone – in your workplace or at home. How you present yourself and how calm and open your demeanor are far more important than the actual words. If you keep this as a reminder to you and those around you (family, coworkers) it will help you all get along better!

Music and Brain Plasticity
Brain-imaging techniques have revealed the brain’s plasticity and have identified networks that music activates. The brain areas activated by music are not unique to music. These networks also process other functions. Musical and non-musical functions share systems. For example, motor control and executive control share circuits with music. Music can activate and drive complex patterns of interaction between the other two, so that a stroke patient and someone with Parkinson’s increases movement, and someone with traumatic brain injury increases cognitive functioning, such as problem solving or decision making.
Your Mental, Spiritual & Emotional Health!
With such busy schedules, most people often don’t take enough time for themselves. Negative energy can affect us without our awareness, but if you find yourself more irritable this could be the reason. Journaling 5 positive things that happen each day helps to shift the mind away from the negative. Starting your day with deep breathing/prayer/yoga can help relieve stress and focus the body and mind for the day. Take social media and electronics break – which have been shown to have a negative effect on mood, sleep, and self-esteem. Instead, head outside, go for a walk, enjoy nature by yourself or call a friend to join you for a long overdue visit!

Weight Loss & Dentures
It may come as a surprise to you, but when you lose weight, your clothes are not the only thing that you’ll notice become loose! Your weight loss can affect the fit and suction of your dentures, causing them to be uncomfortable. Weight loss causes changes to your entire body, including your mouth and gums. However, there is a solution: your Denturist can perform a simple procedure called a reline. A reline will “tighten up” your dentures so they fit well, create good suction, and feel comfortable again.
