Business Profile: Automobility Medical
Automobility was started in Regina in 1989 by Peter & Janis Hillcoff a Regina family that had spent many years working with people with disabilities. Peter was also one of the founders that created the Sarcan recycling program which provided new employment for people with disabilities, while helping our environment. The Hillcoffs, along with their daughters and grandchildren own and operate Automobility today. The staff have been with the company for many years and are a part of the Automobility family. We are the Canadian distributor for many great US & Canadian companies including Merits Health and Catnapper Lift Chairs and we buy and sell in volume so we can offer better products and prices to our customers!
Become the Catalyst of Positive Change
Are you wanting something different in your life or work? A quiet mind that is not overthinking? More self-esteem/self-confidence? More balance in your life? Professional coaching focuses on setting goals, creating outcomes, and managing personal change. Other service professions, like consulting and psychotherapy, are based on the wisdom and expertise of the professional. In coaching you—the client—are the expert. Brian’s role as your coach is to ask powerful questions, act as a sounding board, listen fully and actively, challenge your blind spots, and foster shifts in thinking that reveal fresh perspectives.
Smoking Affects Your Hearing
Did you make any New Year’s resolutions? If you are a smoker, you can now add increased risk of hearing loss to the list of reasons to quit. The chemicals found in cigarettes may affect the way your ear processes sound. In fact, smokers have been found to be 15% more likely to have hearing loss than non-smokers. Hearing loss isn’t fatal, but it can lead to a number of health-related issues down the line. Dementia & depression have been linked to untreated hearing loss, so be sure to have your ears checked regularly. Get started by scheduling a hearing test today.
A Solution to Your Resolutions
This past year was a tough one. Do not start the new year off stressed by your list of resolutions when it can be as simple as one solution. Drink one drink, once a day, and ignite your body’s optimum fuel source. We have the only ketone that is naturally fermented and bio-identical to what your body creates when in ketosis. Rather than worry about keeping to a diet, you can drink to improve your mood, sleep, energy, focus, fat loss, muscle preservation, skin, gut health and mental clarity. We are here to support you in your journey; why not give it a try? Here is to a Healthy New Year!
Age-Appropriate Housing
If it’s time to consider more age-appropriate housing, you have several options: 1) Active/Adult Living – a community housing complex with private apartments. 2) All-Inclusive (Assisted Living) – a community lifestyle complex with private apartments, communal dining and recreation spaces, and a variety of services. 3) Supportive Living – a more intimate community facility with communal kitchen and living spaces, and a variety of services. 4) All Care Living – hospital-style environments that offer 24-hour professional health care. Not sure which is right for you? Retirement community experts can answer any questions you may have and help you start planning your next steps.
Keeping Anxiety in Check
A new year means we can reset and look at aspects of our lives that we might want to focus on or change. Here are some New Year’s resolutions for getting better control of your anxiety: 1) Unplug – give yourself regular breaks from technology. 2) Reach out – talk to people who make you feel good. 3) Move – create a realistic exercise plan. 4) Eat well – consume a healthy diet and drink plenty of water. 5) Know your body – pay attention to your physical, mental, emotional, and spiritual health. 6) Consider other solutions – homeopathy offers some very helpful options for anxiety.
Help Support Seniors
Today, more than ever, your support is extremely valuable. It helps progress our services while playing a vital role in keeping seniors independent. Our generous supporters help to supplement the cost for some of our low-income seniors in the community, as well as fund programs that are free to any senior, like our friendly caller program. Every dollar of support stays right here in Saskatoon. We have many lower-income seniors who need our services, and the generosity of your support allows us to be able to assist them. Please visit our website and show your support for seniors today!
