7 Reasons to buy Organic
  1. Protect the health of children
  2. Look after your own health
  3. Safeguard the health of farm workers
  4. Preserve the soil
  5. Protect the water
  6. Conserve resources
  7. Fight global warming

Thoroughly washing conventional produce and trimming away peels will help minimize chemical residue while still retaining a high level of nutrients. If organic foods don’t fit into your budget or lifestyle, don’t worry. Most health authorities report that the health benefits that come from eating fruits and vegetables outweigh concerns of pesticide use. Whether you select organic or conventionally grown produce, eating nine to thirteen servings of fruits and vegetables each day is still the healthiest way to get the vitamins, minerals and fiber you need as a preventive health measure.

ABOUT BLOCK THERAPY

Block Therapy is a self-care body work therapy, meditation and exercise. The individual lies on a therapeutic tool made of cedar called the Block Buddy for a minimum of 3 minutes in each of 47 positions throughout the body. Wood is used as the therapeutic tool because, unlike artificial materials like foam or plastic, it shares similar density to bone. With gravity and body weight, the Block Buddy is able to sink deeply into the tissue, all the way to the bone. This pressure brings increased blood and oxygen into the area, thereby warming the connective tissue and “melting” the powerful seal between layers that creates unhealthy restrictions. The student is taught to use diaphragmatic breathing to bring into the body up to 600% more oxygen. This combination of increased oxygen, proper posture and alignment, and the freeing of adhesions, form the basis of the Fluid Isometrics system. Learn more about Fluid Isometrics and Block Therapy.
