Navigating Adoption’s Emotional Journey

Adoption is complex and includes a range of emotions, challenges, and joys for all involved. Adopted children often face feelings of loss and struggle in areas of attachment and emotion regulation. Adoption-competent therapists play a crucial role in supporting children and families of adoption by providing tailored support to equip them with tools and skills to build strong, secure connections as well as address other complexities that may arise across a child’s development. Call today for a free consult to see how we can help support you in your adoption journey.

Happy Place Found

Yoga Therapy is the practice of simple movement and the relationships between each segment in your body. We focus on nervous system down regulation and learning to listen and communicate clearly through movement. This supports pain management and healthy long term body mechanics. Each person will find their own individual senses and sensations, proprioception (where you are in space) by way with interoception (feeling where you are in space with/through sensation). Yoga Therapy does not replace Asana/Yoga practice, it supports it and keeps your movement sound and pain free.

Advantages of Hiring a Pet Sitter

An in-home pet sitter offers numerous benefits for both pets and their owners. Pets remain in their familiar environment, minimizing stress and anxiety. Personalized attention and care tailored to their routine promote well-being. In-home sitters provide companionship, reducing loneliness. Pets receive consistent feeding, exercise, and medication, maintaining their health. The risk of exposure to illnesses is minimized compared to communal boarding. Owners gain peace of mind, knowing their furry companions are safe and comfortable. Additionally, home security is enhanced with the presence of a trusted sitter. Overall, an in-home pet sitter ensures happier pets and contented owners during their time away.

Treatment for Sciatica Pain

If you are experiencing shooting pain from the lower back down the legs, particularly if it’s shooting into the feet, you may have sciatica. The sciatic nerve runs from the lower back to the toes and can cause intense pain due to a trapped nerve. Some potential causes are disc herniation, piriformis syndrome, or trigger point referral. Symptoms include worsening leg pain when sitting, tingling, burning, numbness, weakness, and intense pain. A chiropractor may perform spinal adjustments to relieve the pressure of a herniated disc, freeing spinal movement, and easing muscle spasms. This reduces pain, restores nerve signal flow, and improves mobility, providing long-term relief. Regular chiropractic care can also prevent future sciatic pain episodes.

Lest We Forget

On Remembrance Day, we honour those who gave their lives so that we may be free. The Poppy is a powerful symbol of Remembrance. From the last Friday in October to Remembrance Day, millions of Canadians wear a Poppy as a visual pledge. We will be closed on November 11th in remembrance. Please go to www.goldencircle.ca for information on how we will honour those who fought for our freedom.
