Thanksgiving is a great time to practice gratitude, a high vibrational frequency. When you are grateful, you attract higher positive energies. Try writing in a gratitude journal every day to attract these energies. List all the things that happened during the day that you are grateful for. Gratitude is connected with greater happiness; it helps people feel positive emotions and improves health. As a Certified Body/Emotion Code Practitioner, Permelia can help you release unprocessed negative (trapped) emotions that will assist you in being grateful and will help you attract even more positive energy. Are Your Vaccines Up to Date?
Fall boosters for COVID-19 will be available in October. This is also a great time to update vaccination schedules for travel, pneumonia, shingles, and more. Your pharmacist can help provide information and answer many of the questions that you may have regarding vaccines. Vaccines can help prevent disease and save lives. Individuals most at risk are: * people over 65 or under 5; * pregnant women; * residents of long-term care facilities; and * people with chronic diseases such as diabetes. Please book online to choose the day and time that will work for you to come in for your COVID-19 and additional important vaccines.

Minimize Joint Pain and Stiffness
As the weather shifts into the cool and damp days of fall, many people with arthritis notice an unwelcome change: more joint pain and stiffness. Tips to minimize discomfort include: *Dress in layers, use heating pads, and keep your home comfortably warm to avoid joint stiffness. *Gentle exercise like walking, yoga or swimming can improve circulation and keep joints flexible. *Dehydration can worsen inflammation, so drink plenty of water. *Eat a diet rich in omega-3s, colourful vegetables and whole grains. *Talk to your doctor about glucosamine, chondroitin or vitamin D. *Manage stress with meditation, deep breathing and restful sleep.

Rolfing for Better Movement
There is voluntary movement like picking up an item and involuntary movement such as posture. Postural movement is a result of long-term patterns, emotion, and tissue health. It is hard to change your posture just from telling yourself to “stand up straight”. You can do exercises to strengthen weak areas and stretches but you can’t just think “stand up straight” and expect to be able to maintain that “better posture”. Rolfing helps to reset your body’s “neutral”. With Rolfing, finding good posture and efficient movement becomes easier and more natural which allows standing up straight to just happen naturally.
