Today more than ever your support is extremely valuable. Your support helps progress our services while playing a vital role in keeping seniors independent. Our generous supporters help to supplement the cost to some of our low income seniors in the community, as well as fund programs that are free to any senior like our Friendly Caller program. Every dollar of support stays right here in Saskatoon. We have many lower income seniors that need our services and the generosity of your support allows us to be able to assist them. Please visit our website at www.saskatoonservicesforseniors.ca and show your support for seniors today!
Quieting the Mind for Growth
Coaching is not advice, therapy, or counselling. Working with a coach is about supporting your self-awareness and building capacity to trust your inner wisdom to make the changes you desire. The Enneagram Personality Type System is one tool that can be used to deepen this self-awareness. The Enneagram works with your three centres of intelligence: your body, heart, and head. Our hearts are often protecting us from reliving past pains and our heads are often worrying about the future in a way that stops us from being in this moment. When we use our bodies to sense into this moment – we become grounded, allowing our hearts to open, and our minds to quiet – knowing what is needed.
We’re Hiring!
We have several positions available in our organization from housekeeping and snow shoveling. If you enjoy working with Seniors and making a difference in their lives please contact us today.
What is Physical Literacy?
Physical literacy is the mastery of a range of fundamental movement skills that enable and encourage lifelong participation in physical and sporting activities. It’s the philosophy that underpins physical education in schools, and more and more, it’s being seen as the most effective antidote to childhood obesity and the many problems associated with our increasingly sedentary lifestyles. Sportball champions physical literacy by focusing on and promoting building skills for life, including sport skills, pro social skills, and motor skills. Sportball’s curriculum teaches physical literacy through its methodology, in which all games, activities, and instructions have a purpose and expected outcome.

Saskatoon Services for Seniors offers housekeeping services for all seniors in Saskatoon. Our staff is screened and fully insured. We are here to assist with many household cleaning services such as kitchens, bathrooms, laundry, dusting and wall washing. We only provide the services that you require and as such only have a one hour minimum for each appointment. We can provide regular weekly service, bi-weekly services or just when you need us. The fee involved is based on the seniors’ income and if cost is a barrier, though our donors we can usually overcome this barrier to be able to get seniors the help they need.
