“If you don’t know where you are going, you’ll end up someplace else.” – Yogi Berra
Tetra Society of NA – Regina Chapter
Tetra recruits volunteers who work with clients to design and build assistive devices that are custom-made for the individual – these are devices that are either not available commercially or cost-prohibitive. As a non-profit organization, Tetra raises funds to deliver this program, including covering the costs of volunteer travel and materials for devices up to $500 per project.
Tetra’s core focus is to address barriers that affect a person’s ability to live life independently due to obstacles in their environment. One of Tetra’s founding principles is that people are not marginalized by their disability, but by obstacles in their environment. Tetra works to reduce or eliminate these obstacles. Over the past 30+ years, Tetra volunteers have built devices that support:
- Communication
- Eating and drinking
- Completing household chores and personal care
- Mobility

Finding the Right Matchmaker
Curious about seeking out matchmaking services, but don’t know where to start or what to look for? While many people may advertise themselves as matchmakers, it takes a special skillset to truly excel. Some important questions to ask prior to investing in a matchmaking service include: 1) How long has the company been in business? More than 5 years is ideal. 2) Are they upfront with their fees and do they have a legal contract? 3) Do they have any references? 4) Do they have a professional website and social media presence? 5) What is their process?
Government Grant for Restrictions in Walking
With tax season upon us, it’s important to consider whether you are eligible for the disability credit. If you have had a prolonged disability due to a hip or knee condition or other medical conditions such as copd, diabetes, neuropathy, etc, that cause restrictions in walking or dressing, you may qualify for a $2,500 yearly credit, as well as a $25,000 Lump Sum Refund. We have assisted thousands of Canadians to get this credit and can help you get the money you deserve. For the most reliable service in Canada and the lowest fee, call Brett Scott 1-844-453-5372.
Funeral Pre-Planning
You talk about many things with your loved ones: from day-to-day details to big events. Sharing stories with those who matter most isn’t just important today – it will be especially significant when it’s time to honour and commemorate your life. A funeral can reflect a person’s story and be transformative, healing and comforting. Meaningful funerals start when loved ones talk about what matters most: memories made, lessons learned and how they hope to be remembered. Talk to us to pre-plan your funeral service and ensure it’s an accurate reflection of your life, values and experiences.
Abundance and Receiving
How willing are you to receive in your life? If receiving has been a challenge for you, reflect on how tuned in you are to your feminine energy (we all have both masculine and feminine energy within us). When we turn on our feminine energy, we can receive, surrender, slow down, and be more present. Embodiment Breathwork Sessions allow you to tune into your feminine energy and womb space to release and surface unprocessed emotions and traumas our body holds onto that may be preventing us from receiving the abundance in our life that we all have access to!
Brain Health Awareness Month
Most people are familiar with the benefits that exercise holds for the body, but regular exercise also plays a significant role in keeping our brains healthy. Studies have shown that physical activity can improve cognitive health – helping us think, learn, problem-solve, and maintain emotional balance. It can improve memory and reduce anxiety and depression. Every little bit counts – walking the dog, dancing, doing light housework or playing tag with grandkids – and you can break it up over the week. Exercise does not need to happen in one-hour increments! Start with just 10 minutes today. Your body AND your brain will thank you!
