Foot Care is Important
Foot care is essential for supporting overall health and well-being. A trained foot care provider can help prevent infections and skin conditions. Management of chronic conditions for individuals with diabetes, neurological issues, and poor circulation can reduce pain and prevent complications. Regular foot examinations are essential for early detection of health issues, reducing falls, and maintaining mobility. Proper and regular attention to foot care should be a part of everyone’s self-care routine. Supportive and well-fitting footwear will also improve comfort and quality of life. Comfort Keepers can help with foot care. Contact us for an appointment with our registered foot care nurse.
Kinesiology for Long-Term, Optimal Health
For many individuals recovering from injury or managing chronic conditions, the transition from physiotherapy to kinesiology is a natural next step. While both professions focus on improving physical function and overall well-being, they serve complementary roles in the journey to recovery and optimal health. Once the initial recovery phase is complete, a kinesiologist can step in to continue the rehabilitation process and support long-term health. They build on the foundation established by physiotherapy, creating personalized programs to improve strength, flexibility, endurance, and overall physical capacity. Whether you’re stepping down from physiotherapy or looking for ongoing support, Vanisle Kinesiology is here to help you.

Imogen at Western Edge Theatre
In London, England, Imogen Flight is set to be knighted by Good Queen Vic. The patrons of the ladies-only Saucy Chicken pub share stories and tall tales of their heroine. When Imogen herself shows up, she comes with more stories of her own and someone on her trail. What follows is a feminist comedy for the ages, paying homage to the multitudes of incredible women who have been lost to history.
Maintain your Pearly Whites
A healthy mouth is an important part of overall health. We recommend that you brush your teeth in the morning before eating if the food is acidic. Floss and rinse after every meal to help maintain the enamel (whiteness) of your teeth. Always wait 45 minutes to brush your teeth after drinking or eating to allow the enamel to harden again. Acidic foods soften enamel, and brushing right away can cause thinning it, making the yellow/brown root show through quicker. Visit your dental hygienist regularly to help keep your teeth and gums healthy.
Seeking Fun, Exercise and Camaraderie?
Welcome aboard Angels Abreast, a dragon boat team of Breast Cancer survivors and supporters. Research proves exercise reduces health risks for those who beat cancer and those seeking to prevent it. We paddle for fun, sharing emotional and physical support. We enjoy a wonderful waterfront setting in Newcastle Channel, sharing the seas with seals and otters, and the skies with herons and eagles. Join us in celebrating health. Everyone is welcome – experience is not required. PADDLES UP!!
Fall Recovery
It’s still cold out there, folks! We need to be careful about falling on icy sidewalks. Falls outside in low-temperature conditions pose an increased threat if it happens where you’re isolated—you could be injured and unable to get up quickly. The risk of hypothermia, frostbite, and pneumonia on top of recovering from an injury is a threat. If you fall, turn your head and roll over onto your side. Move slowly, with your head first, then the rest of your body. Steady yourself with something sturdy, like a bench. Finally, raise yourself and sit down to recover before seeking help.
Find Calm with Mindful Touch
Feeling stressed? Pause and reconnect. Place your hands gently on your heart or belly, close your eyes, and take slow, deep breaths. Focus on the warmth of your touch, offering yourself a moment of comfort and calm. This simple practice eases anxiety and helps you feel grounded anytime, anywhere. Reiki also helps with stress. Reiki energy healing is a holistic practice that taps into the universal life force energy to restore balance in the body, mind, and spirit. To experience the transformative power of Reiki healing, book a session with Lily Zunic, a Certified Reiki Therapist, today.
