Counselling for a Heathier Tomorrow

At CFS, We offer therapeutic counselling services to families, couples, individuals and children. We also offer life improvement programs. Fees for counselling are based on ability to pay – no one is turned away because they cannot afford to pay. Counselling is available to all regardless of their race, religion or age.

We also offer single-session-format Rapid Access Counselling in partnership with Family Service Saskatchewan so that no one has to wait to see a mental health counselor. The service is for everyone and offers a conversation with a professional counsellor that could help you identify solutions, and build on your existing strengths.

Fascia aka connective tissue is a three-dimensional web that spreads throughout the body and surrounds every muscle, bone, nerve, blood vessel and organ. So, when a fascial restriction occurs due to a physical or emotional trauma, or a surgery, there is a binding down of the fascial system. This binding down of the fascia can create tremendous pressure in the body causing pain, limited mobility, and restricted range of motion. Camping: Natures Stress & Pain Relief

Did you know camping can boost fitness and release endorphins? An endorphin acts as a natural pain reliever, a “feel good chemical” your body releases, it makes you feel better and transforms you into a positive state of mind! Spending time outdoors, hiking, kayaking, or swimming boosts fitness and releases these endorphins. Exposure to fresh air and natural light supports better sleep, while unplugging from screens enhances focus and mindfulness. Being in nature strengthens mental resilience, and fosters a sense of peace and well-being.

Healthy Blueberry Crisp

Healthy Blueberry Crisp. Preheat oven to 350°F. In a bowl, toss 4 cups fresh or frozen blueberries with 1 tbsp maple syrup, 1 tsp lemon juice, and 1 tbsp cornstarch. Pour into a baking dish. In another bowl, mix 1 cup rolled oats, 1/3 cup almond flour, 1/4 cup chopped nuts, 1/2 tsp cinnamon, and 2 tbsp coconut oil or butter until crumbly. Sprinkle over berries. Bake for 30–35 minutes until golden and bubbly. Serve warm, with Greek yogurt. Enjoy!

Stay Social with Hearing Loss

Socializing can be tough for those with hearing loss, but a few thoughtful adjustments can make all the difference. Always get their attention before speaking. Talk at a natural pace—don’t shout—and use pauses to help them keep up. Keep your hands away from your face so they can see your lips. Stick to one topic at a time and let them know if the subject changes. Choose seating where they can see everyone’s faces clearly. Most importantly, check in often. If they seem confused, repeat the message in simpler, shorter sentences to help keep them connected and included.
